Linguine with blue swimmer crab and chilli

This recipe by Catalano’s is a very light and vibrant entrée making it a great way to start a dinner party or for an easy mid-week meal.

Serves 2

Cooking tip: Use a a large non-stick pan.

 

Ingredients

200gm blue swimmer crab Meat
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 red chillies, deseeded and chopped
300gm cooked linguine pasta, kept hot
1/2 bunch fresh dill
1 tbsp capers
Parmesan cheese
Lemon zest, to serve
EVOO, to serve

Methods

  1. Place the oil, garlic and chillies into a large non-stick pan and sauté until they become fragrant
  2. Place the crab meat into the pan and gently cook for 3 minutes. Add the pasta, dill and capers and stir through until well combined
  3. Season with salt and cracked black pepper then serve into large individual pasta bowls. Serve with a good shaving of parmesan cheese, a sprinkle of lemon zest and a little extra drizzle of the oil.
