Every day, fishing communities throughout WA are up early to bring their catch to shore for delivery to markets, fish mongers, restaurants and even home-delivery services.
The close proximity of our local fisheries, often enables fish markets and fish mongers to prepare and deliver seafood caught that day. There is also a growing number of ocean-to-plate experiences, where the fishers themselves serve up their catch of the day, including abalone divers in Augusta and Western Rock Lobsters fishers on the Coral Coast.
A growing number of wholesalers and producers offer online sales and home delivery, such as marron farms in Pemberton. Where possible, look for MSC certified seafood, the highest international certification for sustainability which has been awarded to ten WA fisheries.
